Our story started with a chance meeting at a bar. What began as a simple conversation turned into hours of talking and laughing as if we've known each other much longer than one night. Before we knew it the night was over, numbers were exchanged and neither one of us could have imagined where that one conversation would lead. Years later, here we are, proof that sometimes the best love stories begin where you least expect them.

Pack light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, bug spray, and after-sun lotion for the tropical weather. Bring comfortable shoes, a swimsuit in your carry-on, and small bills for tipping. Resort shops can be pricey, so pack any must-have toiletries from home.

The closest airport to Dreams Onyx and Breathless Punta Cana is Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). It’s approximately 35–45 minutes from the resorts, depending on traffic.

Currency: Dominican Peso (DOP). U.S. dollars are widely accepted at the resorts and in most tourist areas, so there’s usually no need to exchange money before your trip.

Spanish is the official language of the Dominican Republic. A friendly “Hola!” goes a long way, although English is widely spoken throughout the resort and tourist areas.

GETTING TO AND FROM THE CELEBRATION
For your convenience, round-trip airport transfers will be automatically included with your room reservation. Our travel agency will be in touch closer to the wedding with instructions, important deadlines, and everything you’ll need to arrange your transportation.

Is the wedding on the resort?
No. The wedding is at a private offsite venue called Kukua beach club. Transportation has been arranged. Details to follow.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please let the bride or groom know ASAP.
Is there anything else to pay for?
Outside of your roundtrip transportation to the airport if you didn't arrange it through the travel agents, there is nothing else to pay for. We do recommend bringing cash if you would like to tip the staff on the resort and/or wedding venue for great service.
Are there any additional wedding events?
Yes. We intend to host a welcome cocktail hour the evening before the wedding. Details to follow. This is an optional event.
